II am Siddanth Nandivada studying 10th grade and am deeply concerned about the social inequalities around education, health, and wellness of marginalized communities.

Bangalore, often hailed as the Silicon Valley of India and one of the country’s most liveable cities, is also home to over a million underprivileged slum dwellers. This stark contrast between affluent neighborhoods near tech parks and overcrowded slums is a testament to the city’s socioeconomic disparities, and I witnessed these in one of my visits to the LR Nagar slum.

According to a study by the World Inequality Lab, the top 1% of India’s population holds 22.6% of the income and over 40% of the wealth, making India’s top 1% income share among the highest in the world. The Oxfam study further reveals that the top 5% control over 60% of the country’s wealth, while the bottom 50% hold only 3%. Globally, there is a population of 1 billion living in slums.

There are many deserving students who need funding to pursue PUC and undergrad studies. With your help, we can help improve education, health, and nutrition to underprivileged families in our communities.

Any contributions you can make towards this cause will be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your generosity.
